Frequently Asked Questions

Please visit the Contact Us page if you have any questions regarding LCD or OLED displays

A liquid-crystal display (LCD) is a budget-friendly display as its technology is outdated and cheaper to produce. Unfortunately, due to the low production cost and cheap materials used, LCDs have many risk factors that make user experience less enjoyable, particularly with newer models of iPhones (models released after 2017).  However, LCDs are a great option for those on a budget or those that frequently need display replacements.

  • Low part cost alternative to OLED displays
  • Lowers overall costs of screen replacements
  • Ideal for customers that frequently damage their phones in daily life

  • LCDs are NOT designed for iPhone X and later models
  • Issues with touch responsiveness may randomly occur
  • LCDs consume more power on your phone, leading up to ~25% less battery life
  • LCDs are much lower quality overall
  • Much thicker display compared to OLEDs
  • LCDs can cause logic board issues, which can be costly and lengthy to resolve

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is a relatively new technology that was introduced in 2017 with the release of the iPhone X. Due to the incredibly high quality of OLED displays, price per part is significantly higher than that of LCDs. The tradeoff, however, is that OLED displays are incredibly reliable and provide users with an enhanced experience overall.

  • Native to iPhone X and newer models (original screen type)
  • OLED displays are much higher quality than LCD displays
  • OLED displays do not hinder battery performance nor touch performance

  • Costs considerably more due to advanced technology and premium quality
  • Not suited for users that often damage their display, as the part is costlier to replace
